Plastic packers for timber injection

Two packers, two connection methods. Choose the model together with the right coupler and the purpose of the treatment.

Catalogue diagram showing a packer connected to a timber beam
The diagram illustrates the injection principle. Space the injection points to suit the actual timber element and treatment.

Connecting to the packer

Connect PI-P 6,5/15 using a CPW coupler and PI-P 6,5/27 using a four-jaw CPX-T coupler. Both models are installed in a Ø6 mm borehole.

Two models, the same need for secure anchoring

PI-P 6,5/15 and PI-P 6,5/27 differ in length and connection method. Consider timber thickness and condition, access to the injection point and anchoring location. A longer packer alone does not guarantee deeper material penetration.

ModelAnchoringConnectionPressure specified for the model
PI-P 6,5/156 mm borehole, 15 mm lengthDedicated CPW push-on couplerMaximum: 30 bar
PI-P 6,5/276 mm borehole, 27 mm lengthCPX-T four-jaw couplerMaximum recommended: 30 bar

Choose the injection pressure for the treatment, within the selected packer's limit.

Position the injection points

Position injection points according to the grain direction and crack pattern. Choose the material to suit the treatment and timber condition.

Before injection, check that the packer is secure and the coupler connection is leak-tight.
