THREE SELECTION CRITERIA

Anchoring, sealing and flow.

Check the actual borehole diameter, substrate condition, and seal length and position. Assess the nipple passage and stem channel separately from the body diameter.

PASSAGE / THREAD / COMPATIBILITY

M6x1 is a thread.
Passage diameter is a separate dimension.

Compare two nipple geometries. The same thread does not mean the same connection or passage diameter.

Conical coupler and nipple — connection detailCONICAL COUPLER AND NIPPLE
APPROXIMATE PASSAGE FOR M6x1≈ Ø1 mm

The conical connection requires a compatible conical coupler. Also check the packer channel and the other system components.

Passage size ≠ flow rate

Millimetres describe the passage dimension. They do not specify litres per minute or delivery conditions.

PROFESSIONAL HAMMPACK NIPPLES

Opening at approximately 6 bar.
Sealing against back pressure.

Start injection at the lowest pressure suitable for the task. A low nipple opening threshold lets delivery start without unnecessarily increasing pump pressure.

After the coupler is removed, injected material should remain in the structure. A tight nipple stops backflow and helps maintain pressure. When it leaks, you lose more than material and a clean work area: pressure needed for further penetration into cracks and pores escapes through the injection point. Non-return sealing is therefore essential for injection control.

Applies to professional SWG / PRE / FWG / FPRE versions. Approximately 6 bar is not a recommended treatment pressure. ECO versions and very-low-pressure applications require separate selection.

PACKERS / DESIGN SELECTION

Borehole, seal
and connection method.

Match the packer family to the substrate and delivery method. Borehole diameter, body length, seal and nipple describe separate characteristics.

Different designs, different anchoring conditions.

HAMMPACK steel packers

Control of anchoring, sealing and process observation.

HAMMPACK expansion packers combine a steel body with a seal matched to the nominal borehole. Selection in this group goes beyond diameter: anchoring zone, borehole condition and observing material transfer also matter.

Plastic

Drive-in and surface-bonded packers: two different delivery methods.

Drive-in packers are installed in a prepared borehole. Surface-bonded packers create an injection point on the structure's surface. The choice depends on crack access, substrate condition and required delivery conditions, not just body material.

For cement and suspensions

Passage size, material particles and connection control.

Mineral suspension requires a delivery path suited to its viscosity and particle size. A narrow valve passage can restrict the system despite a large packer body. Select the packer, coupler, valve, hose and pump as a complete system.

Economical ECO

Choosing the nipple and non-return seal deliberately.

In PI-SPM ECO steel packers, the body and rubber seal match the professional version. The key difference is the budget nipple, mechanically tightened to the packer. This is what reduces the packer cost.

MATERIAL / BODY AND STEM

Aluminium? Check the stem too.

The term “aluminium packer” can mean an aluminium body with a zinc-plated steel stem. An aluminium body alone therefore does not rule out steel that can corrode. HAMMPACK goes further: in our 100% aluminium version, both the body and stem are made from aluminium.
